Welcome to Myers Elementary School! My name is Matt Stinson and this is my fourth year leading our amazing school!

Prior to coming to Bellwood, I served as principal of Pleasant Valley Elementary School in the Altoona Area School District. I started my career at Frankstown Elementary (Hollidaysburg Area School District) where I taught for 17 years. I have committed myself to serving as an instructional leader, through creating and implementing many new initiatives within the schools and districts that I have had the opportunity to serve. I have prided myself in team-building skills, providing in-service trainings in various curricula, examining assessment data to drive teacher instruction and most importantly building positive relationships with students, parents and members of the community.

As a resident and parent of children within the B-A community, I know first-hand what an amazing place it is! Our school district has always held their students to high standards. I am beyond excited to help contribute to that success while helping the district continue to reach new heights. I love seeing my students each day knowing I am influencing their education. This love is what I wanted to bring to my community, my home.
